Cheap Travel at the Last Minute

admin on May 20th, 2008

Finding a cheap vacation is sometimes easier if you wait until the last minute. Your destination will probably depend upon the latest deal, but adding a little variety to your travel can make for a unique experience.

To really find the best deals available, you have to break from your old conventions about working with travel agents or Teletext providers. The real deals are available through online sources which let you make a deal without the middleman.

One of the best ways to do this is to book through one of the standard hotel comparison websites. There are a lot of people who often have to cancel their vacation at the last minute. This means that the hotel will be looking at a loss for the weekend if they can’t fill the room. The good news is that you will be able to book the hotel room for dirt cheap. The advances in this field will even let you take a look at the hotel’s pictures to see if it’s somewhere you’d like to stay.

By following these few trips you can make a last minute vacation cheap and enjoyable.;)

A Guide to Cheap Spring Break Travel

admin on May 15th, 2008

Spring Break holds a high place in the hearts of college students. It is a time to unwind after a hard year of studying and a time to make lots of new friends with similar interests in a party setting. There is a reason it is such a famous vacation and it is likely that every student will want to have some type of spring break trip.

The problems come when you start to consider costs. Travel rates are very expensive and your dream vacation can easily be cut short by high costs. There are a lot of ways to save money just by think outside of the box though.

First, don’t think that you need a really nice hotel. Stay somewhere affordable and shoot for the 2 to 3 star range. The honest truth is that this is actually where the real party will be. Most students share your cash flow issues and will happily flock to the affordable places and carry the party with them.

Second, you should try and think of cheaper transportation options. As long as you aren’t going overseas for your break, you can probably work out an option to carpool to your location. This can make the bonding even better if your friends like a good road trip. Also, you shouldn’t forget that you can go to exotic locales through cruises that depart and return stateside, limiting how much you’ll have to pay in airfare.

If you keep these cost-saving ideas in mind, you should be able to have the Spring Break you always dreamed of.:)
